Nicola joined Dormer Construction in 2012
While our contract/project managers are directly responsible for on-site health and safety and quality management, Nicola has overall responsibility of managing and co-ordinating the administration side of these site activities. Nicola is the administrator of our Mango QA management system responsible for updates of documents, and maintaining all records to verify compliance and support project reporting.
Through an active audit programme and regular liaison with the project team and client feedback, Nicola works in maintaining and continual improvement of Dormer’s procedures and processes. The audit programme provides the means to measure the implementation and application of project plans to achieve contractual requirements.
In conjunction with Pete Dormer (managing director) Nicola facilitates the monthly company health and safety meeting, proactively participating in information sharing and feedback with managers, supervisors and work crews. This interaction provides a means for Nicola to gauge the application of site safety practices, procedures and process on site, training requirements, and employee participation in health and safety requirements.
Additionally Nicola is PA to the general manager, and provides an essential support to the day-to-day operation of the business including personnel and HR matters and record management, health and safety PPE and equipment purchases, company inductions, and general administration support to the office and project teams.
