Clyde, Creyke and Maidstone roads

A large wastewater upgrade will start in Ilam in early September 2024 and is expected to finish mid-2026.

We are improving wastewater infrastructure along Clyde, Creyke and Maidstone roads to help meet increasing demand from our growing city. This will be carried out in stages and will be disruptive, with one-way traffic measures in place to allow the work to happen.

Dormer Construction will work with affected residents, businesses and organisations to minimise disruptions and support access to your homes and workplaces. We thank you for your ongoing patience.

Stage one

The first stage of work will start in September 2024 and includes work on Clyde and Creyke roads. Traffic will flow north one-way on Clyde Road and west one-way on Creyke Road. Further stages of work will follow on Maidstone Road.

Regular updates will be delivered to impacted residents and businesses, with more detail about the work and impacts. These updates are on ccc.govt.nz/works.

Come and meet us

We are holding a ‘meet the contractors’ information session, to share details about the project and how it will impact residents and businesses in the area. Council staff and traffic management experts will also be available to answer questions.

When: Monday 19 August 2024, at 6pm
Where: Medbury Centre, Medbury School, 109 Clyde Road, Christchurch

Please enter from the carpark on Creyke Road and follow the signage.
